Weddings & Events

IXIA Botanicals Wedding & Event Terms and Conditions, for the creation and supply of wedding and event flowers and the related services, will be presented in writing to clients along with a wedding flowers design brief, at the time of quotation.

Seasonal Arrangements

1. Arrangements & Pricing

1.1. For a limited time during the year we offer seasonal arrangements for delivery or collection from the studio.

Monday to Friday 10am until 5pm.

1.2. Orders must be placed 24 hours before collection of delivery, at a minimum.

1.3. Our arrangements and related services are subject to availability.

1.4. All prices are inclusive of VAT.

2. Materials

2.2. Every arrangement we create is unique, and the flowers used within it are entirely dependent upon seasonality, availability and the British weather conditions. Our ethos, so far as reasonably possible, is to use our own British garden-grown flowers, which are grown organically without the use of chemicals. The life expectancy of our arrangements is between three and seven days.

2.3. We reserve the right to reasonably adapt your order according to seasonal availability, weather and market conditions and we cannot guarantee specific ingredients. We will always endeavour to source the ingredients which we have indicated will be used, however we reserve the right to exchange and substitute any ingredient, without notice, for the nearest possible substitute in regard to value and quality.

2.4 Please ensure that all packaging is removed within 24 hours of receipt. Re-cut all stems at an angle, to ensure maximum hydration, and place your flowers in a clean vessel of cool fresh water. Please ensure that flowers are displayed somewhere cool, draught free, and away from direct sunlight. Arrangements should be topped up with fresh clean water every few days to ensure hydration and to limit naturally occurring bacteria. Remove spent flowers as they fade.

2.5. Please note that IXIA Botanicals arrangements are susceptible to the temperature and the environment in which they are situated. We do not accept responsibility for any deterioration in their appearance or condition due to the lack of sufficient hydration or due to unsuitable placement by the recipient.

2.6. Photographs used on our website and social media are intended to provide an indication of style, size and color only. These may vary subject to seasonal availability and weather conditions.

3. Orders, Collection & Delivery

3.1. Arrangements may be ordered via email or by telephone and will be subject to an electronic invoice. Orders must be placed 48 hours in advance of collection or delivery, at a minimum.

3.2. Upon receipt of your requested order an electronic invoice will be emailed to you. Full payment, payable via BACS, must be received prior to collection or delivery. Should payment in full not be received we have the right to rescind your order and you will forfeit any monies paid. Upon receipt of your payment your order and delivery date will become fixed. No changes to your order or delivery day can be made without our consent.

3.3. When ordering flowers via email or telephone, we will require the following details:

Your full name, address and contact details, including an email address and contact telephone number.

Your collection or delivery preference, please include the date you would like to collect your flowers or have your flowers delivered. Flowers are available for delivery or collection from Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm. We are unable to guarantee specific delivery slots.

For flower deliveries, we require the recipient's full name, delivery address and contact telephone number. We recommend that a personal written message is also included.

3.4. Collection is from our studio based in Nether Kellet, Lancashire, LA6 1HA. The studio is within easy reach of the M6. Our address and directions relating to parking will be emailed to you on confirmation of your order.

3.5. We currently deliver within a 15 mile radius of our studio. Delivery areas include North Lancashire, North Yorkshire and South Cumbria, including the Lake District. Delivery will be quoted for at the time of your requested order.

3.6. We do not accept any responsibility for late or non-delivery of our arrangements or services due to incorrect information having been provided by you. It is your responsibility to ensure that we have the correct contact details for each person or location intended to receive deliveries.

4.7. If the recipient is not available ta take delivery at the delivery location, we will leave the arrangement in a safe place, (such as an open porch or outside building or shed) or with a neighbour. Please note the arrangement will be left at your risk and we take no responsibility if the arrangement is stolen or damaged after delivery has taken place. If we are not able to leave the arrangement in a deemed safe place, it will be returned to the studio and an attempt to re-deliver them will be made within 24 hours at an additional delivery cost.

3.8. We pride ourselves on our reliability, but we do not accept responsibility for delayed delivery caused by factors beyond our control, such as traffic incidents, fire, flooding or mechanical breakdown.

4. Cancellation

4.1. If you would like to cancel your order, we must be notified as soon as reasonably possible. Your chosen delivery date or any payment made will be forfeited regardless of circumstance.

4.2. In the rare event that we are unable to supply an arrangement or service to you at all or on the date required, we shall notify you of this as soon as possible and we shall reimburse any payments made in full.

5. Complaints

5.1. We hope that you love your IXIA Botanicals arrangement. However, In the event that you are not satisfied with your order or our services, any feedback concerning such must be received within 24 hours of delivery or collection. We may at our discretion offer to replace the arrangement with 48 hours. If this is not possible, we may offer you a full refund, subject to specific circumstances.

6. Acts of God

6.1. In the event of sudden illness, adverse weather conditions or other acts of god which are out of our control and prevents us from delivering our arrangements or performing our services we will not be held responsible for this non-performance.

7. Data Protection & GDPR

7.1. Given the importance of data protection both you and we agree to comply with all applicable requirements of the data protection legislation. This means for so long as and to the extent that they apply to the law of the European Union, the law of any member state of the European Union and/or Domestic UK Law; such as our data protection legislation and any other law that applies in the UK. For the avoidance of any doubt we are the data processor and you are the data provider.

10. General

10.1. We reserve the right to supplement and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

10.2. By completing payment of your order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

10.3. Liability is limited to the value of the order made and we accept no responsibility for any consequential loss.

10.4. We reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate the provision of our Arrangements or services at any time.

Classes

1. Booking & payment

1.1. Classes can be booked via email and will be paid for via BACS, subject to invoice, unless otherwise indicated.

1.2. All prices are inclusive of VAT.

1.3. For some classes we may offer a split payment option, with the remaining balance due no later than 6 weeks to your class date. It is your responsibility to ensure that payment in full is received on, or before, the due date. If we do not receive the full payment on, or before, the due date then we reserve the right to cancel your booking and you will forfeit any monies paid.

1.4. For one-to-one classes or for private group classes a 20% deposit payment will be required at the time of booking to secure the date of your class. The remaining balance will be due no later than 6 weeks prior to your class date.

2. Cancellation, Refunds & Transfers

2.2. We have a strict no refund and no transfer policy on all class places. This includes cancellations due to illness, personal or professional reasons.

2.3. A minimum number of students will be required to go ahead with each class. In the unlikely event that the minimum is not met, you will be offered an alternative class date, or refund in full subject to cancellation.

2.4. We reserve the right to cancel classes, with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any consequential losses that may arise as a result of a class being cancelled. In the unlikely event of a class being cancelled, you will be offered an alternative class, or refund in full.

3. Photography

3.1. We reserve all rights to take photographs and publish images of student work and during classes for marketing purposes. These images may be displayed on our website and social media sites. All images belong to IXIA Botanicals and must not be used without our prior permission. Should you prefer not to be included in class photographs, please notify us in writing at the time of booking.

5) Acts of God

We are not responsible for the delay or non-performance of a class, in whole or part, by reason which are out of our control. Such reasons include, but are not limited to, sudden illness, adverse weather conditions, acts of God, accident, terrorism, or any other unexpected exceptional circumstance.

6) Data protection & GDPR

By making payment you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Liability is limited to the value of the final order made and we accept no responsibility for any consequential loss.

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict or terminate the provision of our classes services at any time.

We reserve the right to amend the content of our website, including service offerings and any price indicated, without prior notice.
